Digital Predistortion with ROVA
To improve the linearity and efficiency of power amplifiers (PAs), itisn owadays <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$p$</tex> aramount to predistort them using digital predistortion (DPD). An accurate model is needed for the predistorter, and this paper proposes and shows that the frequency-domain ROVA (seRies expansiOn of the Volterra Approach) model fits <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$p$</tex> erfectly <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$h$</tex> ere. <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$T$</tex> he a dvantages o f having a low number of hyperparameters to tune and the parsimony to performance ratio of ROVA make it an attractive alternative to existing models.
