Position Sensorless Control of Switched Reluctance Machines Based on Adaptive Super-twisting Sliding Mode Observer
In the traditional sliding mode observers (SMO) for switched reluctance machines (SRMs), excessive chattering and lag degrade the estimation accuracy of rotor position and speed. To address these issues, this paper proposes a sensorless control method based on the super-twisting sliding mode observer (STSMO). The proposed method accelerates system convergence by employing a fractional power convergence law and modifying the switching function. In addition, the integration of adaptive control enhances the observation accuracy and robustness of the system. The simulation results have verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
