AUTHENTIC TEXT AND ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF ITS USE IN LANGUAGE TEACHING AND LEARNING

This article examines the historical development and evolution of the use of authentic texts in language teaching methodology. The advantages and challenges of employing authentic resources are analyzed, highlighting their significance in developing learners' communicative competence. Additionally, the article discusses the role of modern technologies, the Internet, and multimedia in enhancing access to authentic materials. Practical recommendations for the effective use of authentic texts in contemporary language education are provided.
