<b>Government Regulation No. 22 of 2008 concerning Funding and Management of Disaster Assistance.</b>

Government Regulation (PP) No. 22 of 2008 governs the funding and management of disaster relief in Indonesia. Its purpose is to ensure that disaster management efforts are implemented effectively, efficiently, and responsibly. This PP is a derivative of Law No. 24 of 2007 concerning Disaster Management. This regulation also stipulates strict oversight to prevent irregularities. Oversight is carried out by the government, regional governments, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), and the public. Financial reports must be prepared in accordance with government accounting standards. For emergency funds, accountability reports may be subject to special treatment to expedite handling, although supporting evidence may not be as complete as under normal circumstances.
