Active Power Optimization Dispatch Strategy of Wind Farm Considering Maximum Reactive Power Support Capability
In the process of the wind farm actively participating in the automatic generation control of the power grid, it is necessary to allocate the total active power command issued by the power grid in combination with the operating status of each wind turbine. Furthermore, with the increasing wind power penetration, it is urgent for the wind farm to further improve its reactive power support capability to support the voltage stability at the point of common coupling while accurately responding to the power command. However, the existing research only considers the network power flow constraints when optimizing the reactive power support capability of wind farms, ignoring the coupling relationship between active power and reactive power, and failing to maximize the reactive power support capability. Aiming at this problem, this paper first combines the wake model and the wind turbine power model to design a wind farm active power optimization dispatch strategy with the objective of maximizing the reactive power support capability of the wind farm, and the grid dispatching command, network power flow, wind turbine dynamics, and power factors as the constraints. On this basis, the velocity pausing particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to solve this problem, and the active and reactive power commands of each wind turbine are optimized at the same time. The simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the reactive power support capability of the WF under the premise of accurately responding to the active power command.
