Open-Loop Dead-Time Compensation for High-Power IPMSM Sensorless Control
The high-speed sensorless control method of interior permanent magnet synchronous machine needs to calculate the back-EMF component corresponding to the extended back-EMF or the effective flux chain, so the estimation accuracy of the back-EMF component has a direct impact on the estimation accuracy of the rotor position. In practice, the dead-time effect of the inverter leads to voltage distortion, which makes the inverter output voltage unequal to the commanded voltage, which in turn leads to the error of sensorless control. In this paper, an open-loop compensation strategy is proposed to feed forward the dead-time-induced voltage loss to the input of the inverse potential observer to eliminate the impact of the dead-time effect on the position error.
