Reflections on Patients Embodied Emotional Care Strategies
Patients with psychosomatic diseases and chronic illnesses constitute the key population in research on patients' embodied emotions. Patients' negative emotions significantly impact their quality of life, treatment compliance, prognosis, and rehabilitation. The main manifestations include emotional turbulence, trust fractures, and reverse feedback. The high incidence, timing, and characteristics related to age and gender of negative emotions in other patient populations cannot be overlooked. Providing care for patients' embodied emotions holds important clinical significance. The "Eight-Reconstruction Concept" faces numerous challenges in clinical practice: limited medical resources, healthcare professionals' lack of knowledge and skills in patient emotion management and care, and multiple constraints on patients' embodied emotions, including doctor-patient communication skills, medical technology and service quality, treatment costs and burdens, and emotional care and support. The underlying mechanism involves the interaction and collaboration of the intersubjectivity between doctors and patients in their bodily engagement.
