Waveform Design for Integrated Radar, Communication and Identification Towards Low-Altitude Economy

With the development of low-altitude economy (LAE), low-altitude intelligent networks (LAIN) have attracted increasing attention, This paper focus on multi-functional waveform design for LAIN with radar, communication, and identification capabilities, and design integrated radar and identification and integrated communication and identification transceiver links. We also propose an optimized waveform design that combines detection and identification functionalities while leveraging minimum mean square error (MMSE) channel estimation techniques to enhance performance. By developing a cooperative integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) framework, the study overcomes the limitations of traditional monostatic configurations. The results demonstrate that the proposed integrated design effectively meets the stringent requirements of the low-altitude economy while significantly reducing costs and improving spectral efficiency and operational safety.
