Analisis Wacana Kohesi dan Koherensi Pada Podcast "Langkah Kecil Untuk Dampak Besar" dalam YouTube CXO Media

AbstractLanguage plays a crucial role in communication, both spoken andwritten. In today's digital era, podcasts on YouTube have become anincreasingly popular means of communication. Podcasts featurenatural conversations that can be analyzed to identify elements ofcohesion and coherence in spoken discourse. This study aims toanalyze the forms of grammatical cohesion, lexical cohesion, andcoherence in conversations on the podcast "Langkah Kecil UntukDampak Besar" broadcast by CXO Media, hosted by Putri Tanjungand resource person Prilly Latuconsina. This study used aqualitative approach with a content analysis method. Data werecollected through documentation, free listening techniques, andnote-taking techniques, then analyzed based on the theory ofdiscourse cohesion and coherence. The results showed that out of80 utterances, 39 utterance data contained various forms ofgrammatical and lexical cohesion and discourse coherence. Of the39 utterance data, 144 data were found to contain grammaticalcohesion, lexical cohesion, and coherence. Grammatical cohesionsuch as endophoric references 6 speech data, exophoric references30 speech data, demonstrative references 14 speech data, substitution 1 speech data, ellipsis 3 speech data, and conjunction 8speech data. In addition, lexical cohesion is also found a lot such asrepetition 20 speech data, synonymy 24 speech data, antonymy 2speech data, hyponymy 5 speech data, collocation 3 speech data, equivalence 2 speech data. Meanwhile, in the coherence aspect, markers of meaning relationships between parts were found such ascause-effect coherence 20 speech data, means-results coherence 1speech data, background-conclusion coherence 2 speech data,condition-results coherence 2 speech data, comparative coherence 2speech data, additive-temporal coherence 1 speech data, andgeneric-specific coherence 2 speech data. These findingsdemonstrate that spoken discourse in podcasts has a regular andmeaningful linguistic structure. These findings are important as acontribution to linguistic studies, particularly discourse analysis, and provide a foundation for understanding that digital spokencommunication still requires a coherent meaning to achievemessage effectiveness. Keywords: Discourse, Discourse Analysis, Grammatical Cohesion,Lexical Cohesion, Coherence
