Improved TOPSIS Evaluation for Power Supply Risk of New Power System

A stable power supply is a key component of the economy and society. Coal power units serve as the ballast for electricity supply, making the development of Electrical peak capability evaluation indicators for these units and the quantification of their capabilities crucial. This paper extracts power peak capability indicators for stable power supply from aspects of fuel management and unit operational capacity. By enhancing the entropy weight method, it objectively assigns weights to various indicators, addressing the impact of inter-indicator correlations on evaluation results. A triangular distance-based TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method is employed for a comprehensive evaluation of unit peak capability. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated through simulation examples.
