Enhancing University Students Speaking Skills through Multiliteracy and Technology Integration
As digital banking services evolve alongside emerging technologies and rising user expectations, maintaining strong user engagement has become a critical challenge for financial institutions. Augmented Reality (AR) offers innovative ways to enrich user interaction and enhance the digital banking experience, yet its impact remains underexplored in the FinTech domain. This study investigates the influence of AR interfaces on user engagement within digital banking environments. A quantitative approach was adopted, utilizing an online survey of 303 users of AR-enabled digital banking applications. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed to analyze the relationships among usability, perceived usefulness, frequency of AR feature usage, satisfaction, and overall engagement. Results show that usability, perceived usefulness, and frequency of AR feature usage significantly and positively influence user engagement, while satisfaction does not have a direct effect. The proposed model explains 58.6% of the variance in user engagement, highlighting the importance of designing AR features that are intuitive, valuable, and interactive. These findings emphasize the potential of AR as a strategic tool to drive user engagement and deliver differentiated value in digital banking services. The study contributes to the growing literature at the intersection of immersive technologies and FinTech, offering practical insights for user-centered AR design. Future research is encouraged to examine the long-term effects of AR engagement and the mediating role of satisfaction, which could deepen understanding of sustained user behavior in AR-integrated financial platforms.
