The emergence of digital technologies is a phenomenon that has revolutionized the world and transformed the way companies across various sectors operate, particularly in terms of organization, management, and decision-making. Our scoping review aims to analyze the current state of research addressing the relationship between digital technologies and decision-making, to conduct this review, we employed the well-known framework of Arksey and O’Malley, combined with the PRISMA-Scr stages, this methodology allowed us to obtain seven articles, selected through a well-defined filtering process based on a search query and inclusion criteria, these seven studies highlight the usefulness of technologies such as big data, big data analytics, cloud computing, blockchain, IoT, decision support systems and artificial intelligence for businesses, they demonstrate that these technologies facilitate and enhance decision-making by saving time, extracting the most relevant information to develop customizable strategies aligned with customer demand, gaining a competitive advantage, making accurate forecasts, minimizing costs related to financial decisions, and strengthening the quality of decisions through data relevance. Overall, these studies indicate that the impact of these tools on decision-making needs to be further examined in depth to identify all variables influencing the relationship between these two elements and assess their long-term implications.
