SOGI Based Active Disturbance Rejection Thrust Ripple Suppression Strategy for PMLSM

In high-precision applications of Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motors (PMLSM), reducing the inherent thrust ripple is crucial for enhancing the operational performance and control accuracy of PMLSM. This paper proposes a second-order generalized integrator (SOGI) based active disturbance rejection thrust ripple suppression strategy for PMLSM. Firstly, a mathematical model of the PMLSM thrust ripple is established, and the composition and characteristics of the thrust ripple are analyzed. On this basis, the SOGI is utilized to suppress the periodic fluctuations during the operation of PMLSM; the extended state observer (ESO) is employed to mitigate the aperiodic fluctuations during the operation of PMLSM. Furthermore, the stability and parameter characteristics of the proposed strategy are analyzed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is validated on a 750W linear motor experimental platform.
