High Voltage Cable and Load Termination Effect Study to Improve EMC Testing of an Inverter
This paper investigates an approach to evaluate the impedance of representative load (HV shielded cables + termination) as seen by the inverter for component-level electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. Simulations were performed and validated with measurements. Results show that better correlation between the component-level data and the vehicle-level measurement is achieved if actual HV shielded cables and representative termination are used at the component-level EMC test setup.
