Sensorless Current Harmonic Suppression for PMSM Based on Deadbeat Compensation of Multiple Synchronous Rotating Frames

To improve the current response performance of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) under dynamic conditions, a deadbeat current harmonic suppression method based on multiple synchronous rotating coordinate systems is proposed. First, by integrating multiple synchronous rotating coordinate transformations, harmonic currents at target frequencies are converted into DC signals. Subsequently, low-pass filtering is employed to extract these DC signals by eliminating fundamental and other harmonic components. Finally, a parameter self-tuning deadbeat current predictive controller generates harmonic voltages, which are then transformed back via inverse coordinate transformation to suppress the harmonic currents. Compared with traditional harmonic suppression methods, the proposed strategy exhibits faster dynamic response. Its effectiveness is verified on a 2.2 kW PMSM platform.
