Formation of values of maximum stresses in the tank shell, taking into account corrosion wear in the zone of edge displacement
Studies were carried out to identify the nature of changes in stresses in the shell of the vessel of one of the petrochemical industries during operation in the presence of displacement of the edges of the maximum permissible value in the annular weld, established by the requirements of regulatory documentation, as well as in the presence of corrosion wear of the annular area adjacent to the zone of edge displacement. The results of several possible scenarios were analyzed, which take into account the location, width and residual thickness of the corrosion wear zone, as well as the direction of edge displacement. Regularity of change of values of maximum stresses in welded shell of process vessel body is established taking into account loads on process unions, as well as different thickness of wall and width of zones of annular section of separate shells adjacent to area of edges displacement zone. Allowable wall thicknesses of shell shells in corrosion wear zones are determined in terms of allowable stress values, taking into account the loads on the product inlet and outlet nozzles. It is shown that the values of maximum stresses at different width of the corrosion wear zone are influenced by the wall thickness, the required value of which must be determined individually in each case to ensure strength.
