Prescribed-Time Distributed Control of Shield Machine Cutterhead Drive System
In this paper, we focus on the six-motor consensus control of the shield machines cutterhead. Due to the cutterhead's large diameter and the substantial cutting resistance that needs to be overcome, multiple motors are required to drive its rotation collectively. To ensure uniform mechanical stress distribution, precise consensus control of these six drive motors is essential. First, adopting a distributed control approach reduces the computational demands on the system. Second, we design a time function to achieve prescribed-time consensus control in the cutterhead drive system. Finally, simulations demonstrate that the six drive motors achieve consensus control with high stability and reliability. This study provides robust support for practical engineering applications.
