Spectroscopic Investigation and Raman Spectra of (Dy,Tb):YAG Crystals: A Possible Gain Material for Visible Laser

Diode-pumped solid-state laser with emission in visible light are an important area of research due to the large number of applications of laser visible light [1]–[2]. Among visible laser light, yellow radiation is used in crucial medical applications including ophthalmology, dermatology and surgery. It is particularly effective in treating retinal diseases such as macular edema, owing to its ability to penetrate deep into ocular tissues. Yellow light is employed for the removal of tattoos, pigmented lesions, and other skin blemishes, providing precise results and minimizing the risk of scarring. Last but not least, it is used to coagulate blood vessels and minimize bleeding in certain procedures.
