Millimeter-Wave Linearly and Circularly Polarized Beam-Scanning Lens Antenna

This paper proposes a novel beam scanning strategy for a lens antenna. The results demonstrate that the lens antenna supports beam scanning in both the elevation and azimuth planes. Furthermore, by simply adjusting the rotation angle of the feed waveguide, the lens antenna can flexibly switch between linear and circular polarization, achieving the integration of beam scanning functionality for both polarization modes.

Abstract

This paper proposes a novel beam scanning strategy for a lens antenna. The results demonstrate that the lens antenna supports beam scanning in both the elevation and azimuth planes. Furthermore, by simply adjusting the rotation angle of the feed waveguide, the lens antenna can flexibly switch between linear and circular polarization, achieving the integration of beam scanning functionality for both polarization modes.
