Enhancement of Low-Speed Load Capacity in PMSM Sensorless Drives Using GADRC
To enhance the disturbance rejection capability of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) for position sensorless control applications, a generalized active disturbance rejection control (GADRC) using a generalized extended state observer (GESO) is adopted for the speed controller, while the disturbance is observed by using a fourth-order ESO. Compared with the traditional speed controller, which employs an ADRC with a third-order ESO, the proposed speed controller improves the rejection performance for the low-frequency disturbances, improving to 223% and thus achieves more stable operation in the low-speed range. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified on the dSPACE DS1202 experimental platform.
