Abstract

The field of software engineering is evolving toward sustainability in an era where the effects of technology on the environment are becoming more and more apparent. To investigate methods for reducing the environmental impact of software systems, this article explores the relationship between software engineering and green computing. To promote a more sustainable digital environment, we establish best practices and methodology for implementing green computing principles into the software engineering process through empirical analysis and case studies. The study emphasizes how important it is to achieve sustainable software engineering using resource optimization, green deployment strategies, energy-efficient design, and constant monitoring. This work highlights the significance of multidisciplinary innovation and collaboration in driving the transition to sustainable software development by showcasing real-world applications and their obvious advantages.
