Integrated Fire Mitigation and Monitoring System (IFMMS) : A novel approach addressing current wildfire issues in 5 steps
Wildfires are getting increasingly frequent and severe, posing threats to both communities and ecosystems. While deploying wireless facilities in wilderness areas with cameras and sensors for early detection is a proposed solution, these facilities themselves can contribute to fire risks. This research paper proposes a new preventive approach to avoid wildfires and decrease their impact if it can’t be avoided. Our solution focuses on fire-resistant wireless facility designs and advanced wildfire detection technologies. The system includes wireless structures made from non-combustible materials, with cooling systems and underground power lines to minimize fire hazards. Sensors integrated with these facilities will monitor temperature, smoke, and humidity in real-time, creating a robust detection network. Automated sprinkler systems and drones are proposed to provide both fire suppression and live surveillance during emergencies. AI-driven predictive analytics will process sensor data to identify high-risk areas, enabling proactive measures and faster responses. By addressing fire risks posed by wireless facilities and enhancing early detection capabilities, this proposal offers a practical and scalable approach to wildfire management. It balances technology integration with environmental preservation, aiming to protect both human lives and natural habitats. This project outlines the implementation phases and highlights the potential for global application, starting with high-risk zones in California.
