Development and Implementation of Application for Automation of the Synchrotron Radiation Technological Station
The article discusses the application of the X-ray fluorescence analysis using synchrotron radiation to the study of the content of low-Z element impurities in samples of plant origin. Such studies are carried out in a hermetically sealed chamber, and we are faced with the problem of organizing the change and positioning of samples, controlling the operation of the energy dispersion detector, and performing a number of repetitive actions that require time and effort from the operator. To optimize this, a graphical application was developed and implemented. This application integrates control of the processes of recording fluorescence spectra and changing samples, as well as logging the experiment. The practical use of this application in experiments has demonstrated a number of advantages: reducing the number of operator errors, reducing station downtime, and improving the convenience of conducting an experiment. The experience of creating an application for automating a synchrotron radiation experiment will be useful in the creation and operation of experimental stations in the Siberian Ring Photon Source (SKIF) project.
