Sensorless Control of High-speed Maglev LSM Based on Interactive Extended Kalman Filter
Due to its superior efficiency and independence from pantograph-catenary interaction constraints, the DC excited linear synchronous motor (LSM) is employed in high-speed maglev train. The position and speed of LSM serves as the foundation for traction control, while mechanical sensors entail high maintenance costs and pose failure risks. To enhance the reliability of the traction control system, an interactive Extended Kalman Filter (IEKF) sensorless control method is proposed in this paper. This method combines EKF based parameter identification with position/speed observation, executing the interaction within one switching cycle. The mathematical model of LSM is established at first. Then, the position/speed observer and parameter observer are designed separately. On this basis, the IEKF sensorless control method is proposed to improve observation accuracy. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method was validated through a LSM test platform.
