Designing Lead-Free Piezoelectric Ceramics for Energy Harvesters
Solid state reaction route was used to synthesize Lithium-doped alkali niobate ceramic with composition K0.47Na0.47Li0.06NbO3. The X-ray diffraction patterns of sythesized sample confirmed the orthorhombic crystal system with a non-centrosymmetric point group ‘mm2’. This paper explores the various electrical, dielectric and ferroelectric characteristics of the material that affect the efficiency as piezoelectric energy harvester. In addition, the temperature dependance on the electrical, dielectric and ferroelectric properties is studied. The strategy to improve the efficiency through the material’s properties has been explored.
