Technology-Empowered Surgical Education and the Adherence to Humanistic Values in the Era of Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence has enhanced the efficiency of surgical education while sparking multidimensional debates in technological, ethical, and pedagogical domains. The study discusses the current applications and challenges of artificial intelligence in surgical education through the lens of technological philosophy and humanistic medicine. It proposes human-centered teaching strategies: optimizing intelligent teaching tools to balance technological reliance and skill retention, fostering human-technological synergy; cultivating critical thinking to address data bias and ethical dilemmas, emphasizing human-centric moral, ethical, and legal principles; enhancing immersive humanistic teaching with a dual-track evaluation system to restore humanistic care. Future surgical education must remain rooted in the medical essence of "healing and caring", nurturing a new generation of surgeons who combine technical precision with humanistic warmth.
