Emission of An S-Band Microwave Pulse from a Corrugated Gyromagnetic Line Using a Waveguide Dielectric Antenna

A model of a generator based on a gyromagnetic line with saturated ferrite has been implemented. In this study, a generator was used, a characteristic feature of which is the absence of a solenoid. Instead, permanent neodymium magnets located periodically on a corrugated central conductor were used to create an external magnetic field. The magnetic rings periodically alternated with ferrite rings. The S-band emitter was an antenna made in the form of a coaxial waveguide junction, a segment of a rectangular waveguide and a dielectric diaphragm. The transmitting antenna was filled with vacuum oil with a dielectric constant of 2.25. It is shown that this type of radiating antenna allows them to be used in a fairly wide frequency range, namely 3–5 GHz. A short vibrator with a resonant frequency of approximately 3 GHz was chosen as the receiving antenna. It has also been experimentally shown that the duration of the front significantly affects the efficiency of microwave oscillation generation.
