STRESS LIES A LA RETRAITE DES FONCTIONNAIRES. ETUDE MENEE A KINSHASA DE 2022 A 2023

ABSTRACT This article investigates stress related to retirement among civil servants in the city of Kinshasa. This research stems from the observation that civil servants experience an acceleration in their life expectancy when they are notified of their retirement and when they begin their retirement period. Retirement is a major transition for most older workers and deserves special attention, as leaving one's main job brings about financial, social, and emotional changes. These changes are highly stressful and can deteriorate civil servants' health and, as a result, make them less able to adapt to this stage of life. This study therefore aims to identify the stress factors that can damage the health of civil servants in the city of Kinshasa and thus affect their adaptation to retirement. Keywords : Stress, Retirement and Civil servant.
