3D characteristics of BBA plume
This work treats with heavy biomass burning aerosol (BBA) events, which is also called BBA plume, from the Second-generation Global Imager (SGLI) data aboard the Global Change Observation Mission-C (GCOM-C) satellite and numerical chemical transport model (CTM) in the regional scale. For comparison and mutual use of SGLI data and CTM simulations, cross validation of both is essential first. Subsequently, the three-dimensional characteristics of BBA smoke, such as concentration, diffusion range, spatial variation in optical properties, smoke top height, and vertical profile, are derived. Furthermore, 3D visualization of wildfires allows us to understand the dynamic behavior of BBA advection.
