Thermal and Mass Transfer Effects on Unsteady Casson Fluid Boundary Layer Flow with Chemical Reactions
The objective of this study is to examine heat and mass transfer in a Casson fluid undergoing a linear chemical reaction as it flows over a stretching sheet, where wall mass transfer occurs. Viscous dissipation effects are not considered. To analyze the problem, the governing equations for momentum, energy, and mass are transformed into nonlinear ordinary differential equations through similarity transformations. These equations are solved using the Optimal Homotopy Asymptotic Method (OHAM). Numerical analysis via MATHEMATICA is performed to observe the nondimensional velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles, which are depicted graphically. Tables provide a summary of the study’s findings, which include examine skin friction, local Nusselt number, and Sherwood number.
