Sustainability Performance in Supply Chains: Insights from Reverse Logistics and Multi-Criteria Evaluation
Today, organizations are not only responsible for their own practices but also for the actions of their suppliers. This growing accountability has pushed companies to take a more active role in embedding sustainability intotheir supply chains (SC). Managers are now making decisions based on both qualitative insights and quantitative evidence to better understand and evaluate sustainability performance. The central challenge is to identify the strategies that can deliver the strongest results. This work explores how the literature addresses this challenge, with a focus on reverse logistics and multi-criteria decision-making methods, showing how these approaches can guide more effective sustainability strategies.
