Evidências Empíricas da Aplicação das Teorias de Atidudes de Katz e Ajzen
In the current landscape of rapid technological transformations and shifting market dynamics, understanding consumer behavior in the context of innovation is crucial for companies striving to maintain competitiveness and relevance. Innovation extends beyond the introduction of new products or services to encompass an understanding of how consumer attitudes influence their adoption or rejection of these innovations. This paper explores this theme, emphasizing the importance of consumer behavior theories in formulating effective business strategies. The study begins with a robust theoretical framework, drawing on foundational texts by renowned authors Daniel Katz and Icek Ajzen. Katz's functional approach to attitudes provides a detailed view of how these attitudes serve as adaptive mechanisms, performing functions such as utilitarian adjustment, ego defense, value expression, and knowledge organization. Ajzen's theories, automatic activation of attitudes and planned behavior, offer insights into the formation and change of attitudes in various contexts. The paper then presents two real-world cases as empirical bases: the digital transformation of Zurich Santander and the innovative adaptation of Bemol. These cases exemplify how companies from different sectors applied theoretical concepts to address significant challenges, transforming them into opportunities for growth and market differentiation. In the discussion section, an in-depth analysis of these cases is conducted in light of the theoretical framework, illustrating how strategic application of these theories can guide companies in their innovation journeys. By integrating theory and practice, this work not only validates the discussed concepts but also provides valuable insights for managers seeking to leverage consumer behavior as a competitive advantage.
