Three New Monodelphic Species of the Genus Dorylaimoides Thorne and Swanger, 1936 (Nematoda: Dorylaimida: Tylencholaimoidea) from the Western Ghats, Biodiversity Hotspot

Three new monodelphic species belonging to the genus Dorylaimoides are described and illustrated from the tropical rainforest, Western Ghats, India. D. karnatakiensis sp. nov. is characterized by having a 0.60–0.66 mm long body; odontostyle 5.0–6.0 µm, ventral arm 3.0–4.0 µm, dorsal arm 3.5–4.5 µm; odontophore arcuate, 8.0–9.5 µm, total stylet 13.5–14.5 µm long; pharynx expanding gradually into a short cylindrical basal bulb, 19–23% of the total neck length; female genital system monodelphic-opisthodelphic; tail long filiform, 7.1–9.0 times anal body diameter long, males with 19–20 µm long spicules. D. keralaensis sp. nov. is characterized by having a 0.57–0.66 mm long body; odontostyle 5.5–6.5 µm, ventral arm 3.5–4.5 µm, dorsal arm 4.5–5.0 µm; odontophore arcuate, 8.5–10.0 µm, total stylet length 14.5–16.0 µm long; pharynx expanding gradually into a short cylindrical basal bulb, 24–30% of total neck length; female genital system monodelphic-opisthodelphic; tail elongated to long filiform, 5.5–6.4 times anal body diameter; males with 22–24 µm long spicules. D. shamimi sp. nov. is characterized by having a 0.49–0.56 mm long body; odontostyle 5.0–5.5 µm, ventral arm 2.0–3.0 µm, dorsal arm 3.5–4.0 µm, odontophore arcuate, 8.0–8.5 µm, total stylet length 13–14 µm long; pharynx expanding gradually into a cylindrical basal bulb, 20–23% of total neck length; female genital system monodelphic-opisthodelphic; tail elongated, 5.0–5.7 times anal body diameter long; males with 17–18 µm long spicules.
