Mitigating Advanced Persistent Threats: Strengthening Cybersecurity Management in Corporate and Educational Environments
Abstract: In an increasingly digital world, the threat of Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) has grown both in scale and sophistication. APTs are long-term, targeted attacks that infiltrate an organization’s network, remaining undetected while stealing data or sabotaging systems. Unlike typical malware, these threats are often carried out by organized groups with significant resources and clear objectives. This study investigates how both corporate organizations and educational institutions can build effective cybersecurity strategies to prevent, detect, and respond to APTs. Drawing insights from expert interviews, real-world case comparisons, and threat reports, the paper aims to highlight practical frameworks that foster a culture of cyber resilience. The research concludes by recommending realistic, scalable measures tailored to the specific needs of different sectors. Keywords: Advanced Persistent Threats, Cybersecurity, Zero Trust Security
