D4.2 Engagement and Software Assessment for Researchers (initial demonstrator of Pilot)
EVERSE aims to create a framework for research software and code excellence, collaboratively designed and championed by the research communities, in pursuit of building a European network for Research Software Quality and setting the foundations of a future Virtual Institute for Research Software Excellence. To ensure the sustainability of the proposed framework for research software excellence, EVERSE will establish a network amongst the five EOSC Science Clusters (ENVRI-FAIR, LifeScience RI, ESCAPE, PANOSC, and SSHOC), which develop and make research software for their respective European communities (astronomy and accelerator-based physics, life science, photon & neutron science, environmental science, and the social sciences & humanities). In this deliverable, we report the recent progress made by the science clusters on demonstrating the quality model, indicators, and practices of RSQKit in different communities through pilots.
