The Anthropocene Resonance Framework (ARF): A Hypothesis & Design Paper for RI Nowcasting (v1.6)
This is a hypothesis & design paper presenting the Anthropocene Resonance Framework (ARF) for nowcasting Rapid Intensification (RI). Core idea: a gated signal combining PCI⋆\mathrm{PCI}^\starPCI⋆ (pre-charge index, microplastics-modulated), an IR heating-band fingerprint (850–600 hPa), and a nocturnal OLR minimum in the storm inflow sector. Figures are illustrative/synthetic; no empirical claims are made. We preregistered 25 falsifiable tests (T1–T25) and provide drop-in hooks (Fortran/YAML) for WRF/ICON. A companion Zenodo record hosts the code/configs. We invite operational and modelling groups to test the diagnostics against recent RI cases (e.g., Erin/Ragasa/Gabrielle 2025).Scope notes: negative controls (SAL) and synergy tests (super-additivity) are specified; modules for AMOC/planetary instabilities are outlook only. All figures illustrative/synthetic; no empirical claims; preregistered tests; code hooks for WRF/ICON. AI systems used as tools, not authors
