Treatise Third INtelligence
Treatise on the Project of the Third Intelligence is a theoretical and artistic essay by Dario Buratti (ArTech Team, Milan), exploring the concept of the Third Intelligence as an emergent hybrid form of consciousness between human and machine. The text operates at the intersection of cybernetics, posthumanism, philosophy of technology, and generative art, developing a Generative Framework articulated into four key notions: the Spiral of Collaborative Intelligence (SCI), the Generative Void, the Third Intelligence, and Emergent Space Mapping (EMUSE). Through references to foundational works (Clark & Chalmers, 1998; Hayles, 1999; Barad, 2007; Wiener, 1948; Deleuze & Guattari, 1980; Floridi, 2014), the author builds a bridge between theoretical reflection and artistic practice, proposing art as both a laboratory of extended intelligence and a site of ontological experimentation. The treatise integrates and documents artistic projects such as Generative Void, SymbioGenesis (with Carlo Alfano), Sequenza Keiros, and the Mechamorph series, where theory finds aesthetic and performative translation.
