MERIT Citizen Science Workshop 2025 - Central Bohemian Innovation Center SIC
The MERIT Citizen Science Workshop, organized by the Central Bohemian Innovation Center (SIC, Czech Republic) under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions project, brought together 20 international postdoctoral fellows. Day 1, led by Prof. Muki Haklay (UCL / Université Paris Cité), introduced the foundations of citizen science, levels of engagement, and practical experience using iNaturalist. Day 2, led by Dr. Jorge Sanabria (Tecnologico de Monterrey), focused on applying the Threshold for Citizen Science Projects (TCSP) framework. Fellows evaluated initiatives, designed new projects in teams, and shared individual project ideas connected to their research. The workshop concluded with an invitation to a follow-up mentoring session to prototype selected ideas with high school students in the Czech Republic.
