Evaluasi Kinerja Motor Induksi 3 Fasa Menggunakan Parameter Listrik terhadap Variasi Kerusakan pada Komponen Bearing

Induction motors are widely used in the industrial sector, with approximately 90% of motor applications employing 3-phase induction motors due to their reliability and efficiency. However, these motors are susceptible to mechanical faults, particularly bearing damage, which can significantly affect performance. This study aims to analyze the performance characteristics of 3-phase induction motors under various conditions of bearing damage. The research methodology includes literature review, tool modeling or modification, mathematical measurements, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. Key performance indicators measured include rotational speed, temperature, current, voltage, power, and Total Harmonic Distortion of Current (THDI). The experimental setup evaluates motor behavior under both no-load and loaded conditions with different degrees of bearing damage, such as inner race, outer race, and combined faults. Results show that bearing defects contribute to increased current, voltage fluctuations, temperature rise, and reduced motor efficiency. However, despite these changes, the measured THDI values remain within acceptable limits according to IEEE 519-2014, which stipulates a maximum of 15%. The findings highlight the importance of early detection of bearing faults to maintain motor performance and operational safety in industrial settings.
