A new species of Argoptochus Weise, 1883 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Entiminae: Phyllobiini) from Turkey
Argoptochus anatolicus sp. n. from western Turkey is described. Its systematic position within the genus is unclear, it displays some significant characters typical of Anatolian species e.g. A. reitteri Formanek, 1908. For the first time, the whole female genital tract is described and depicted in Argoptochus. The determination of the new species with use of the key by Borovec (2006) encounters unsourmountable problems caused by unique combination of characters in A. anatolicus.
