THE ROLE OF GREEN KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IN ENHANCING ORGANIZATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY AND IMPROVING EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE
The study observed into the effect of Green Knowledge Management (GKM) practices on Organizational Sustainability (OS) and Employee Performance (EP). A survey was conducted using convenience sampling, reaching out to 424 employees operating at operational, managerial, and top management levels in IT firms in India and abroad. GKM was operationalized with five dimensions acquisition, storage, sharing, application, and creation-whereas Organizational Sustainability included the economic, social, and environmental; Employee Performance was measured as task performance, efficiency, quality of work, and behavioral aspects. Using SPSS for descriptive and reliability analyses and AMOS for SEM, the measurement and structural models were tested. Simulated SEM results indicated significant positive effects: GKM to OS (β = 0.26, p = 0.012), OS to EP (β = 0.47, p < 0.001), and GKM to EP (β = 0.31, p = 0.003). Model fit indices were in an acceptable range (χ²/df = 2.085, CFI = 0.93, RMSEA = 0.077, SRMR = 0.045). The results suggested that GKM setting up will help sustain the organizational process and employee outcomes, it also yielding practical implications for practitioners and researchers.
