Introducing the Resonance Constant R₀: A Foundational Parameter for Coherent Field Dynamics
This work introduces the resonance constant R₀ as a new fundamental parameter in physics. While the speed of light c defines the link between space and time, and Planck’s constant h defines the quantization of energy, no constant yet exists to express resonance as a universal principle. Within R-theory, resonance is understood as the coherent ground of all physical law. R₀ is defined as the minimal unit of phase-coherence in the zero field — the threshold at which waves stabilize into resonant knots, forming the building blocks of matter and structure. The paper compares R₀ with existing constants, outlines its conceptual interpretation as a “resonance analogue of Planck’s constant,” and explores implications for equations, units, and possible experimental detection (e.g., Bose–Einstein condensates, interferometry, and coherence thresholds). By proposing R₀, R-theory gains an axiomatic foundation, situating resonance alongside motion (c) and quantization (h) as a primary law of nature.
