The Effect of Production Management on Organizational Productivity.

This research report investigates the effect of production management on labor productivity in a product organization, with a specific focus on the National Cement Factory. The objective of the study is to examine the relationship between production management practices and the effect on productivity levels of labor force. A mixed-methods research design is employed, combining qualitative and quantitative research methods to provide a comprehensive understanding of the topic. The qualitative component involves in-depth questionnaire with managerial-level employees in the cement industry to gain insights into production management practices and their impact on labor productivity. The quantitative component utilizes an employee survey to collect data on variables such as employee engagement, training and development, process optimization, and performance metrics. Stratified random sampling is used to ensure a representative sample from different departments and job positions within the organization. Data analysis is conducted using Stata software, employing descriptive statistics to summarize the collected data and inferential statistics to test hypotheses. The results reveal that the overall model is statistically significant, indicating that the combined effect of the independent variables on labor productivity is significant. The findings indicate that providing the right tools and resources, and implementing effective training and development practices positively influence labor productivity. However, employee engagement shows a surprising negative relationship with productivity, requiring further investigation. Process optimization emerges as a significant factor, emphasizing the importance of modern technology and efficient work processes. The impact of performance metrics on productivity remains inconclusive, warranting additional research. Overall, this study contributes to the understanding of the relationship between production management and labor productivity in a product organization. The mixed-methods research design and approach allow for a comprehensive analysis, combining qualitative insights with quantitative data. The findings have implications for organizations aiming to improve their production management strategies and enhance labor productivity.
