Eingliederungsleistungen und Effizienz der Jobcenter und Träger
At the latest in the context of “budget savings proposals” and the 2025 federal election campaign, various actors published criticism of the efficiency of German job centers. Rising administrative costs, particularly due to reallocations from the integration budget, were accompanied by declining placement rates. The claim that reallocations deprive the unemployed of integration benefits and thus prevent integration needs to be examined. This study investigates the extent to which the level of expenditure on benefits for integration into work has an impact on the integration rate of job centers. The evaluation of this correlation is presented in this article.
