Application of GIS in Compensation and Land Clearance for the Provincial Road 7 Upgrade Project through An Nhon Tay Commune, Ho Chi Minh City

This research focuses on applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support compensation and land clearance activities for the repair and upgrade project of Provincial Road 7 in An Nhon Tay commune, Ho Chi Minh City. The objective is to build a spatial database that facilitates land clearance by calculating the area and compensation value for each land plot and land user within the project’s scope. The results of the study contribute to improving transparency in the compensation process, reducing implementation time, and minimizing disputes during the execution of local traffic infrastructure projects. The research also confirms the effectiveness of GIS in land clearance, a critical phase in the implementation of current traffic infrastructure repair and upgrade projects. Keywords: Compensation, Land clearance, GIS
