Supplementary Materials from Tsauni area, Northcentral Nigeria.

The Study area is Tsauni, located within Paiko Sheet 185SE in Gwagwalada Area council, Abuja, Northcentral Nigeria. It is a metamorphic terrain composed of migmatite gneiss complex & lower grade schist belts which was intruded by Pan African Younger Granites. The rock types include migmatite, gneisses, amphibolite, calc silicate rocks, skarn and younger pegmatite, granite and vein intrusions. The area is mineralized with Pb -Zn, Fe and subordinate Au and Cu. Geochemical, microprobe and sulphur isotope analyses were carried out in other to constrain the origin of the rocks in relation to the sulphide mineralization. Results showed that the rocks are calc alkaline, peraluminous& evolved from the partial melting and fractional crystallization processes from an original basaltic magma from mantle source which later got mixed with a more felsic overlying crustal rocks during its ascent at subduction zone. Sulphur isotope result indicate that the vein dyke & skarn Pb- Zn, Fe mineralization in the area suggest a magmatic fluid-source which was probably overprinted by a later hydrothermal/metamorphic and meteoric water involvement.
