Lindenia tetraphylla
Two new populations of Lindenia tetraphylla were identified in southern Apulia, at Alimini piccolo lake (LE) and at the Cillarese lake (BR) (Table 1, Figs 1-4). These lakes are respectively situated about 35 km south and 20 km north of the closest known site, the Idume springs in the Province of Lecce, where the species has also been confirmed (Table 2, Figs1-3). All three environments are freshwater coastal lakes (one of artificial origin and two fed by karstic springs), and two of them are included in the Natura 2000 network (ZSC “Alimini” IT9150011 and ZSC “Rauccio” IT9150006).
