The Spiral Framework A New Structural Lens for Dark Matter, Expansion, and Consciousness
The Spiral Framework proposes a unifying geometric mechanism—efficient spiral transport and recursive resonance—to address three persistent problems in physics and neuroscience: the structure of dark matter, the cause of late-time cosmic acceleration, and the physical threshold for awareness. We hypothesize that the ubiquitous presence of spiral dynamics across scales (from galactic structures to neural synchronization) links these phenomena by efficiently concentrating energy and stabilizing phase. The framework is mathematically rigorous and yields three immediate, falsifiable tests for current and upcoming data: Cosmic Anisotropy: An exploratory expansion contribution Ωω(z) derived from the vorticity term of the Raychaudhuri equation, which introduces small, direction-dependent anisotropies to ΛCDM. Dark Matter Structure: A predicted spiral and annular fingerprint in weak-lensing shear maps, requiring novel data analysis (log-polar regression) on Euclid and Vera C. Rubin Observatory data. Consciousness Threshold: A hypothesized step-like increase in phase coherence (measured via a Kuramoto-style order parameter) that is strictly coincident with the emergence of adaptive, model-based behavior in neural systems. The model operates at the mesoscopic scale, requires no new microphysics, and is designed for rigorous testing against clean nulls (parity flips, phase scrambles, B-mode controls). This paper presents the full framework, mathematical formalism, and pre-registered test methodologies.
