Complete Reevaluation of Pioneer 10 anomaly by Thermal Anisotropy Coefficient N 3D Modeling Contribution and Kb Inertial Model
This study re-evaluates the Pioneer 10/11 anomaly (~8.74 ×10⁻¹⁰ m/s² sunward acceleration).A refined 3D thermal recoil model (N = 0.0232) combined with the inertial Kβ drag explains ~90% of the anomaly. Pioneer 10: Thermal 6.92 ×10⁻¹⁰ + Kβ 1.08 ×10⁻¹⁰ → 91.5% explained. Pioneer 11: Thermal 4.57 ×10⁻¹⁰ + Kβ 3.13 ×10⁻¹⁰ → 88.1% explained. A minor antenna-body gap effect (35 cm) increases drag (+72% Cx) but contributes <0.01%. Key insight:The thermal effect alone cannot explain the difference between two identical probes.Directional Kβ inertial coupling with the interstellar medium is required, validated on opposite trajectories. 🔬 This work provides a falsifiable resolution of the Pioneer anomaly, with implications for deep-space navigation and ISM physics.
