ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE OF SALMONELLA SPP AND ANTAGONISTIC ACTIVITY OF PROBIOTIC LACTOBACILLI
In this study, the sensitivity of Salmonella strains to a number of antibiotics was studied using the disk diffusion method. Ceftriaxone, cefotaxime and ciprofloxacin showed high efficacy, while the strain was resistant to ampicillin, levafloxacin and erythromycin. The antagonistic activity of Lactobacillus (L. rhamnosus, L. plantarum, L. fermentum) strains against Salmonella spp was also evaluated. The results indicate the possibility of using these bacterial strains as natural antagonists in the future.
